Joy Luck Dating offers an automated relationship reading using birth-based principles drawn from traditional Chinese feng shui and related Five Elements and Four Pillars frameworks. These terms apply to the compatibility preview on relationship.joyluckdating.com and its hosted version, not to any future paid service.

2. Readings and permission
Reading users must be 13 or older. Romantic, friendship, business and personal readings require each person in the chart to be 13 or older. Parent & child mode also accepts children under 13 when used by their adult parent or legal guardian. The entered birth dates check chart eligibility, not the identity or age of the person using the site. Provide only information you have permission to use. Before entering another person’s details, obtain permission for this reading and share the free preview privacy information with them.
Get a parent or legal guardian’s permission before entering another minor’s details. Charts for children under 13 are available only in Parent & child mode with their adult parent or legal guardian. The existing pre-report notice is still required; there is no separate age checkbox. If you are under 18, consider reviewing the reading with a parent, guardian, or trusted adult. Parent & child mode requires both birth hours and your selections of Mother or Father and Son or Daughter. It explores each person’s perspective using their own birth details, then compares the animal symbols linked to both people.
Do not impersonate anyone or falsely confirm permission. The acknowledgment records your confirmation on screen; it is not independent verification of the other person’s consent and does not remove any obligations that applicable law places on Joy Luck Dating.
The personal Four Pillars reading at /personal-reading/ accepts birth dates for ages 13 and up after acknowledgment of the existing disclaimer. For a child under 13, use Parent & child relationship mode with their adult parent or legal guardian instead. Its calculations, downloaded city search and PDF generation run in the browser. Clicking the pre-report acknowledgment accepts the notice shown; it does not verify age, parental consent, or anyone’s permission.
3. Free access, with no automatic subscription
The current preview is free. No account, email address, payment details, or purchase is required to generate or open the full report. Using it does not start a subscription and will not automatically result in charges.
If paid features are introduced later, their price and conditions will be presented separately before you choose to purchase. Access to this free preview may change or end as the service develops; that does not authorize charging you.
4. Your information and report
Birthplace searches and readings are processed in your browser. The calculator downloads the same public city list for visitors; it does not send the words you type, birth details, or report to a city-search provider or save them in a report database. Nicknames are optional, and you may leave names blank.
After opening a reading, you may choose Email me my report. This sends your written reading, including its names and information, through Joy Luck’s server and Resend to the address you enter. It includes an HTML copy; charts remain in the PDF available on the website. Joy Luck stores short-lived keyed hashes and send counts for abuse prevention, not your email address or reading. These records become eligible for deletion after two days and are removed during later delivery requests; Resend processes messages and delivery records under its service policies. Report delivery does not subscribe you to marketing.
The calculator does not save your inputs in browser storage. Website hosting may still involve technical logs, including IP addresses and requests for pages or public files. The site also loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives font requests and network information such as your IP address, not your entered birth details or report. Before opening a reading, select Agree & view my report to accept these Terms and the Disclaimer and acknowledge the reading limits and permission statement shown. Back to details does not accept or generate the reading. This confirmation is not marketing consent or independent verification of age, parental consent, or another person’s permission. Switching to or from Parent & child mode clears the details and report. A file or printout you choose to save remains under your control; clearing the form does not delete those copies. Do not share another adult’s details or a joint report without their permission. Protect a minor’s privacy and avoid unnecessary sharing of their details or report.
5. Responsible use
Use the preview for personal reflection and conversation. Do not use it to harass, threaten, stalk, manipulate, discriminate against, or expose another person. Do not treat the report as a basis for decisions about someone’s employment, housing, credit, insurance, health care, or other essential opportunities.
A parent–child reading must not be used to label a child, justify punishment or withholding care, or make decisions about custody, education, or health. It is not an assessment of development or parenting ability. An adult remains responsible for safe, age-appropriate care and for respecting an adult child’s autonomy.
Do not disrupt the website, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorized access, or bypass security measures. Joy Luck Dating may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect the service.
6. Limits of the reading
This is an interpretive tool, not a scientifically validated compatibility test, prediction, or guarantee. Birth information, city coverage, historical time-zone rules, and unknown birth times can affect results. A report does not assess a person’s character or safety and does not establish that a relationship will succeed or fail.

7. Content and permitted copies
Joy Luck Dating’s branding, design, and original website content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may view, download, and print your report for personal use, respecting the other person’s privacy. Do not falsely present the site or report as your own service or as a professional certification.
Third-party materials remain subject to their own licenses. The adapted city database is from GeoNames under CC BY 4.0; details are in the city-data attribution. These terms do not restrict permissions granted by that license.
8. Availability and your legal rights
The preview is provided on an available basis. Results may contain errors, and uninterrupted availability or suitability for a particular purpose is not promised. Those limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, guarantees, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections. These terms do not require arbitration, waive class-action rights, or require you to bring a claim in a particular country.
9. Changes
Updates will be published here with a revised date. Material changes will be brought to visitors’ attention where required by law, and additional agreement will be requested where necessary. Changes will not retroactively authorize new uses of information or turn this free preview into a paid subscription.
